It's the end of an era for a lot of fans out there. REM has announced that they are disbanding after 30 years of making music together. I guess it's both surprising news and not surprising. You figure they survived this long together they'd pretty much keep going til they literally can't anymore. Still, after several decades you can easily see them deciding they've done all they can do and going their seperate ways. I was more of a casual myself (actually Losing My Religion and Stand drove me nuts back when they first came out and later grew on me) but here is one I always liked:

I never really followed their career, but "Losing My Religion" is a personal favorite of mine.
A really great song :) Took me awhile to be able to appreciate it.
