So, I'm back with some more country music to share with y'all. Today, it's Sarah Darling and her new disc Angels and Devils.
I have to say that she's a very talented singer. Her vocals are very understated and remind me a little bit of the Dollys and Kellies out there. Besides a bunch of originals, she also offers her take of a couple of classics. One is Elton John's "Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word" and the other is U2's "With Or Without You". Listening to these songs sung with a different pitch takes a little getting used to, but they're good versions. One of my favorite tracks was the acapella version of "Something To Do With You Hands". The acapella version is a slightly slower version of the song which takes on a more soulful sound. Here is a video of her performing the song live:
My other favorite on the CD is "Angels and Devils". It's a mid-tempo song where she sings about regretting hooking up with a bad boy and wondering why so many good girls fall into that trap. The disc is available now, so check it out! If you do, be sure to comment back and let me know what you think. Take care and see y'all next time!
