So the nominees for the CMA Awards were announced today and here is the list. I am so glad to see that there is a great field this year. Add that to another Brad/Carrie hosting appearance and I will definitely be tuning on on November 9th.
So, let's go down the categories, starting wth Entertainer of the Year. I would really love to see either Brad Paisley or Blake Shelton take this one. They both are great and Blake in particular has really been providing a lot of entertainment this year and not just on stage or on The Voice. Check out his tweet about his nominations:

This and That
Well, still haven't seen the episode on TV (possession still remains, source unknown) but I'll be checking for more videos to comment on tomorrow. In the meantime, I wanted to share a couple things with you. First, for the non-country fans out there...
The Black Eyed Peas are starting a school in NY. Yes, I am serious! According to yahoo, it is going to teach teens everything they need to know to produce songs and videos. They'll have access to all the best equipment, too. Hope this school becomes a big success!
Speaking of helping kids learn about music... The Band Perry is also getting involved. They have announced that they will be hosting a Songwriter Series in Nashville for VH1's Save the Music foundation. The organization has been working to help troubled school music programs for years and I say it's one of the few things VH1 still does right. Congrats to both acts for getting involved in their own ways.
I'll leave you today with a little randomness: a couple of youtube clips from the upcoming Voodoo Reloaded. Enjoy!

ACMs
According to this news story, The Band Perry is already a winner at the ACMs and they haven't even happened yet! They won best new group which allows them to compete for another one when the show airs in April. Check the link above for more details. I am definitely rooting for them, they're a great group.
