Randomness Ensues: 30 Day Song Challenge, Trace Adkins and Boyz2Men

Another day, another entry in the 30 Day Song Challenge! This time, the topic is "A Song You Associate with High School". I have also added my answer to my 30 Day Challenge YouTube playlist. Enjoy and comment back with your own answers...

I also have a couple of links for you. The first one is a little blast from the past. Shawn Stockman discussed a little bit of the band's early days in a yahoonews article. The group was the soundtrack of my teenage years. Loved the vocals, the music, everything. Glad to know they've stayed active over the years.

The second (and last one) is about Trace Adkins and his new release, Proud to Be Here. He's not only a great artist, but also seems like a guy with his priorities straight. I can't help but be a fan and am looking forward to hearing that duet with Shelton. Here is one of my favorites of his:

Looking Ahead....

I thought I would share a little more info on a few new releases I'm looking forward to. The first one is Sugarland's The Incredible Machine. It will be out on October 19th with the first single being on sale now. Here's a video of it. It's called "Stuck Like Glue".

Twittering the CMAs...

You may have heard today's news story about the country artists that are going to be twittering about the CMA Music Festival while the show is airing on the 31st. Well, here are the twitter names of some of the people involved:

Trace Adkins (@traceadkins)
Dierks Bentley (@dierksbentley)
Lady Antebellum (@ladyantebellum)
Martina McBride (@martinamcbride)
Reba McEntire (@Reba)
Kellie Pickler (@therealpickler)
Zac Brown Band (@zacbrownband)

Check the CMAs page (http://twitter.com/countrymusic) for more. There's an artist listing on the left side of the page. I'm sure Taylor will also be involved.

Trace Adkins is a character...

a comic character, that is. Well, sort of. A new comic called Luke McBain in a comic of the same name. The character, who spends over a decade in prison unjustly, gets his freedom and travels home. He ends up coming across other injustices and works to fight them. The character was physically modeled after Adkins. 12 Gauge Comics will release the 4-issue series.
