Country Rocker Bonnie Bishop Performs at

Americana Music Association Conference

Celebrates Release of New CD THINGS I KNOW

Nashville, TN – (September 11, 2009) – Country rocker Bonnie Bishop will be one of the featured artists in the Americana Music Association Conference line-up September 16th-19th. Bishop will be performing at The Basement on Wednesday September 16th at 11:00pm. The performance is open to AMA registrants only.

If you are not an AMA registrant never fear, Bishop will perform again on Friday September 18th at Douglas Corner at 6:00pm to celebrate the release of her latest independent CD, THINGS I KNOW, produced by Will Kimbrough and Bishop herself. This event is open to the public. Douglas Corner is located at 2106 8th Ave. South in Nashville , TN. There is a $5.00 cover at the door for the public and AMA registrants are admitted free with their registration wristband.

Bonnie Bishop is a singer and a Texan…and, yes, all that insinuates. Brassy, original, soulful, with a whole lot of attitude, her music and her personality are one in the same. But your stereotypical chick singer she is NOT. She sings with the confidence of a woman who understands that the power of her voice lies in her ability to make the audience want more, not want less. She wails effortlessly and with style, free from the shrillness of a woman who is straining to find her notes in the stratosphere, and then just as easily, she swoops down into the depths of her range with a softness that is rich and full of emotion. Bishop has garnered accolades from the press for her brand of bluesy country music. She is also one of the best songwriters to pedal her wares in Nashville ’s song mecca. She has rightfully earned the opportunity to write with such greats as Al Anderson and Mike Reid, among others in the Nashville music community. Bishop has also garnered songwriting “holds” from key major label recording artists in country music.

Keep stopping by, cause I'll be checking out her music and offering some thoughts. See ya then!
