Overkill...

Re-releases seem to be a given anymore. I try (sometimes unsuccessfully) to keep myself from buying an album right when it comes out because the re-release is probably only a few months or so away- afterall, record labels have to try and make more money right? Still... I think this is pushing it a bit. A re-release of a greatest hits CD? And it seems to only include live versions of songs already on the disc? Color me confused (and amused... and cynical, too.

So what do you all think? Do you like re-releases? Are you a bit jaded by them? Comment away and let's talk about it!

The End of an Era...

After 20 years together, Brooks and Dunn have decided that they are going to part ways. They have a greatest hits album in the works as well as a tour that will be going on in 2010.

I think this would be a good time to relect on the duo and their career, so keep an eye on the blog over the next few days. See ya next time!

Tim's Mad and He's Not Gonna Take it Anymore....

This is kinda shocking... Tim McGraw has released a statement bashing Curb for the release of his new hits collection. He says since he's only released one CD since the last one, he can't understand why the label would release something like this rather than the new material he's been working on. Especially since it was done without his input/consent.

Wake up, Tim. Curb's just that kind of label. Remember LeAnn Rimes complaining about I Need You a few years back, saying it was full of unfinished/unapproved material and asking fans not to buy it? It's just the way they roll. Still- good on you for calling them on it.

So what do you think? Check out my poll to cast your vote. Also, feel free to give more detailed opinions in the comments section. I now leave you with a Youtube video of his current single, "Let it Go". If you like it, don't forget to call in/e-mail requests to the different stations out there. Take care and see y'all next time!
