Lyrical Thought of the Day... and some Lady Antebellum Favorites

Since their new CD, Own the Night, came out today, I figured it was only fitting to use Lady Antebellum for my Lyrical Though of the Day. It comes from a song called "I Was Here":

I wanna do something that matters, say something different
Something that sets the whole world on its ear
I wanna do something better with the time I've been given
I wanna try to touch a few hearts in this life
And leave nothing less than something that says "I was here"

Lady A has some really interesting lyrics. Here is one of my favorite lines from their debut. It comes from the song "I Run To You":

I run my life or is it running me, run from my past
I run too fast or too slow it seems

I like this line from their second CD, Need You Now. It was in the song "American Honey":

Get caught in the race of this crazy life
Tryin' to be everything
Can make you lose your mind
I just wanna go back in time
To American honey

Finally, here is an interesting one from their new CD. It's in the song "Heart of the World":
