Music...

Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it rest, heals the heart and makes it whole, flows from heaven to the soul.

That right there expresses my thoughts on music perfectly. I love how putting a certain song on can get you in a great mood or help you work out anger or sadness. Other times they are the perfect thing to play to inspire you or help you get through your work. Lately, I have come across a bunch of new music and I'm getting ready to check it all out so I can share my thoughts on them and hear what you think as well. Adele, Tiffany and the latest Xtina CD are all on my to-listen list. I'm also really looking forward to hearing the new Sara Evans CD (out now) and Alexz Johnson's Voodoo Reloaded (April).

In the meantime, I have been working on a little thing going around Facebook called the 30-day Song Challenge. Check out what I have done so far and please.... feel free to comment with your own answers. Also... feel free to share what you've been listening to and what releases you're looking forward to.

The 30 Day Song Challenge:

day 01 - your favorite song//It always changes.... Right now? Alexz Johnson, LA Made Me

day 02 - your least favorite song//A disco cover of Metallica's Enter Sandman that Ed had. It's an abomination!!!

day 03 - a song that makes you happy//Any cheesy 80s pop. Gotta love the nostalgia....

day 04 - a song that makes you sad// Christina Aguilera Hurt

day 05 - song that reminds you of someone// Gloria Gayner, I Will Survive. I must have heard my mom sing that one hundreds of times when I was a kid. It was her favorite Karoke song.

day 06 - a song that reminds you of somewhere//Richard Marx's Right Here Waiting makes me think of Alabama because I couldn't escape it on the radio on the way up there when I was a kid.

day 07 - a song that reminds you of a certain event//I cannot hear Nine Inch Nails' Closer without remembering one of my friends bringing it in to dance class for us to do a routine to. When the teacher heard it, she jumped up and practically broke her CD player trying to turn it off. Needless to say, an instrumental version was later used...

day 08 - a song that you know all the words to//Selena, Tu Solo Tu.

day 09 - a song that you can dance to//Trouble by Travis Tritt

day 10 - a song that makes you fall asleep//I can't think of any songs that actually make me fall asleep... lol. Meditation CDs, however, are very good for getting me relaxed and sleepy.

day 11 - a song from your favorite band// Bon Jovi, Bed of Roses

day 12 - a song from a band you hate//Fine Young Cannibals, She Drives me Crazy.

day 13 - a song that is a guilty pleasure//Hmm.... gonna have to go with Prince's Batdance. It's just so... weird. LOL

day 14 - a song that no one would expect you to love//Metallica, Leper Messiah

day 15 - a song that describes you//Taylor Swift, Mine

day 16 - a song that you used to love but now hate//Destiny's Child, Survivor

day 17 - a song that you hear often on the radio//Lady Antebellum, Need You Now

day 18 - a song that you wish you heard on the radio

day 19 - a song from your favorite album

day 20 - a song that you listen to when you’re angry

day 21 - a song that you listen to when you’re happy

day 22 - a song that you listen to when you’re sad

day 23 - a song that you want to play at your wedding

day 24 - a song that you want to play at your funeral

day 25 - a song that makes you laugh

day 26 - a song that you can play on an instrument

day 27 - a song that you wish you could play

day 28 - a song that makes you feel guilty

day 29 - a song from your childhood

day 30 - your favorite song at this time last year
